An
exhibition of original artwork by South Australian children's
book illustrators featuring the work of Amanda Graham, Donna
Gynell, Cheryll Johns and Sascha Hutchinson is on display at
the Hindmarsh library until July 14th 2007.
During
this exhibition, schools within the City of Charles Sturt have
booked in to hear Donna Gynell speak about her illustrations,
as many students participating in these sessions will be participating
in the annual City of Charles Sturt Make-a-Book program.
The
Make-a-Book Program is a highly successful, creative and well
participated in, competition which encourages all schools and
pre-schools across the City of Charles Sturt to write and illustrate
their own books, with prizes awarded to individuals and class
groups later this year. If you are a pre-school or primary school
student in the City of Charles Sturt, and would like to create
your own book and enter, please visit your local library for
an entry form.
