Baby Gets Dressed

written by Katrina Germein & illustrated

by Sascha Hutchinson, Working Title Press 2009.

It's time to get dressed. But what will Baby wear? Help Baby choose.

A perfect interactive book for parents and babies and a great way of introducing Baby to the words for familiar objects. Spot varnish and bright collage illustrations made from cut fabrics and painted papers give this book a distinctly tactile feel. - (WTP catalogue)

Baby Gets Dressed is available free through out 2009, in South Australia, to all babies born in SA aged 6-12 months. Parents and carers - collect your copy of Baby Gets Dressed from any local SA library, or child and youth health centre. (Just bring along your little blue book!)

See Me Move!

In 2007 a manuscript and visual storyboard I submitted to the Advertiser Little Big Book Club program,, called 'See Me Move!' was chosen as the winning entry from over 40 unpublished entries. The outcome of this is that See Me Move! has now been published and released as part of a free reading pack aimed to reach all new babies in South Australia in 2008! Books published in the free reading packs, are aimed to particularly appeal to children aged 0-12 months.

The Advertiser Little Big Book Club is a SA based reading program designed to encourage the parents to read to their children as early as possible, and recognise the value of deveoloping literacy skills in young children. The LBBC, commissions the work for the reading pack, and is supported by the Government of South Australia through Arts SA, The State Library, through its Public Library Services and Public Libraries of South Ausralia with the support of Local Government.

See Me Move! published by Adelaide publisher, Working Title Press, is a book all about babies on the move! And as all parents know, once a baby starts to moves, they never want to stop! The story was inspired by my nephew, who Ive seen develop from a wriggly newborn to a busy toddler!

Heidi Linehan, the photographer for the book, has done a superb job photographing all of the babies! Thankyou! (Despite the hazards of working with children or animals!) And the parents and babies have been great too!
